A Japanese family has taken their family business of selling milk so seriously, that they've even built their home to look like a milk carton.

The house is located in the rural town of Mirasaka, which is in the Futami district of Hiroshima, Japan, and stands out amidst blankets of fields and two-storey houses.

Its red, white, and blue design is modelled after Japan's iconic "Mainichi Gyunyu" milk brand.

The owners of the house has not been identified, but according to locals living in the area, the house has been around for the past three decades.

Out of this kitsch building, the family runs a milk store and also does milk deliveries around the neighbourhood.

People have become so fascinated with the house that tourists passing by the area have taken to snapping pics of its facade.
