Jay-Z just gave us the black 'Friends' starring Issa Rae, Tiffany Haddish and more—and it's perfect

What do we have to do to make this a real thing?!

Jay-Z doesn't even appear in the video for "Moonlight" off his new album 4:44.

Instead, he gives us something arguably better: a black version of the hit TV show Friends (or as some might call it, the white version of Living Single).

In the Tidal exclusive released Friday, Lil Rel Howery (Get Out) plays Joey, while Jerrod Carmichael from The Carmichael Show and Atlanta's Lakeith Stanfield play Ross and Chandler, respectively. Issa Rae (Insecure) is Rachel, Tessa Thompson stars as Monica, and Phoebe is played by this year's breakout star Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip). Throughout the video, the crew is recreating this episode of Friends, word for word. Oh, and Hannibal Buress plays himself.

The group act as if they're on the set of this alternative Friends until Howrey's phone rings, interrupting the filming. The rest, well, see for yourself—though warning, there's barely any music from Jay himself until near the end of the video. It does end, fittingly, on the voiceover of the Great Oscar Mixup of 2017 that announced La La Land as the winner, rather than Moonlight.
