LONDON -- The Labour Party is in disarray. Over the weekend, 12 shadow cabinet figures resigned in protest over the leadership of party leader Jeremy Corbyn after the Brexit vote.

Thirteen more shadow secretaries, frontbenchers and ministers stood down on Monday, criticising Corbyn's performance in the referendum on Britain's membership in the European Union, and hitting back at his decision to sack shadow foreign secretary Hilary Benn.

The opposition leader has now announced a new cabinet in which key allies have been promoted to important positions in the shadow cabinet.
