Jodie Whittaker's 'Doctor Who' interview contains spectacular subtitle error
Subtitles, whether they come from a machine or a fast-typing human, can often be an accident waiting to happen.
Jodie Whittaker's recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert provides glorious proof of this.
Her response to Colbert's question about where she's from, for instance, was: "I am from Huddersfield, in West Yorkshire."
Here's how that sentence appeared in the subtitles, though:

Oh dear.
It isn't 100% clear whether those subtitles were written by a human or generated by an algorithm, but either way the result is pretty spectacular.
