LONDON -- Every year, the John Lewis Christmas advert dominates the internet for a day.

And despite all the other big news going on around the world, this year has been no exception.

Along with the release of the advert on Thursday morning and the subsequent onslaught of tweets aimed at an unfortunately-named man in America, there have also been a bunch of jokes and parodies on Twitter.
