LONDON -- Every year in November, two things are guaranteed to happen: 1) British department store John Lewis releases their hugely anticipated Christmas advert 2) American man John Lewis is hopelessly flooded with tweets.

It's practically an annual tradition.

On Thursday morning, John Lewis shared their Christmas advert on YouTube. Twitter held its breath. Some people even sent advanced warnings.

As he does every year, John Lewis, the man not the store, began dutifully replying to tweets, redirecting people to @johnlewisretail.

From the sounds of it, he's got quite a few more tweets to wade through...

As for his verdict on this year's ad?
