Why is John Malkovich naked?
Well, you see, it's for the artwork of his record featuring his interpretation of Plato's Allegory of the Cave set over ambient music, naturally.

Malkovich collaborated with composer Eric Alexandrakis to create the tracks last year for Record Store Day, and then sent them off to friends including Yoko Ono, OMD, Placebo, Ric Ocasek, The Dandy Warhols and members of Blondie and the Cranberries for the finishing touches. The collection was released at the time under the name Like a Puppet Show.
Now it's being reissued as a series of picture disks with 100% more naked Malkovich as Illuminated. As you can tell bellow the packaging is quite fancy. The photos were shot by their collaborator on the project, Sandro, who directed and upcoming Allegory of the Cave film.
