Jon Favreau hasn't played Happy Hogan in a Marvel movie since Iron Man 3, but that's all about to change, as he has joined the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Mashable has confirmed.

Sony and Marvel invited Mashable to visit the Spider-Man set in mid-August, but with the film not slated to swing into theaters until next July, it's too early to reveal the context of Happy's appearance.

Variety broke the news of Favreau's return as Happy, whom Iron Man fans will remember as Tony Stark's personal driver.
