The Fourth of July is finally here, and there's a wide variety of sales and deals to shop now on a range of products, with robot vacuums being one of the most coveted. If you haven’t experienced the life-changing convenience of having a robot vacuum cleaner for your home as a pet owner, I’m here to tell you that this purchase could be a major game changer for you.

These nifty little gadgets (from brands like iRobot's Roomba series, Ecovacs, Roborock, Shark, and more) make cleaning the floors less of an event and more of an afterthought — just set it and forget it. With the number of retailers trying to compete with Prime Day, there are tons of opportunities to save on even the most popular models, from the super affordable Shark Matrix RV2300 to the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ (a vacuum-mop combo).

Whether you’re looking for a robovac to replace your aging upright or need an extra “hand” around the house, these 4th of July robot vacuum deals are a good bet. We admit that the robot vacuum deals on offer for 4th of July are a bit lackluster this year, which could signal upcoming Prime Day deals could be major. Browse our favorite picks below and see if any options are a good fit for you now:

Why we like it

The Shark Matrix RV2300 isn’t fancy, but it is affordable, effective, and gets the job done. This standalone robot vacuum (read: doesn’t include a self-emptying dock, though you can purchase one separately) is ideal for spot-cleaning hardwood, tile, and low-pile carpets.

It features 360-degree LiDAR vision that scans and maps out your home, so you can clean the spots you want and skip the ones you don't. You can control this robovac with the Shark Clean app or via voice control with Google Assistant or Alexa.

Why we like it

The Shark Matrix Plus 2-in-1 (once known as the Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1) is the best robot vacuum-mop combo for homes with little to no carpeting. While it can vacuum both hard floors and carpets, it’s not great on heavy rug piles. (You also have to let the robot know where your carpeted areas are and detach the water tank to clean those spots).

Even so, this standalone robot vacuum and mop hybrid is one of our favorite Shark robot vacuums. It passed Mashable’s at-home cleaning tests with flying colors and is more budget-friendly than its competitors at iRobot and Roborock. This $50 discount helps, too.

Why we like it

The Roborock Q5+ self-emptying robot vacuum rarely goes on sale, so if you're looking for one, you may want to whip out your wallet. This Roborock was on sale for a couple hundred dollars cheaper in the days preceding July 4th (make it make sense), but if you need a great self-emptying robot vacuum, this is still one we recommend — and $100 off ain't bad.

With the Roborock Q5+, you can set a cleaning schedule and forget about it (for up to seven weeks, then you’ll need to empty the self-disposal bin). Thanks to its LiDAR navigation, this baby cleans just as good as a Roomba for a fraction of the price.
