Justin Bieber followed Selena Gomez on Instagram after two cold, dark years
The day you've been waiting for has finally come.
After two years of a social media cold war, Justin Bieber has followed ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, on Instagram.
The pop star made waves on Sunday night with the casual follow, which of course Beliebers and Selenators (don't you just love 2016?) caught, wondering if it meant more.

It should be noted that Selena did not follow Justin back (yet). Selena is also the most followed person on Instagram, so Justin is just one of 82.5 million.
Justin and Selena's love story is perhaps the most celebrated and complicated of our time. The two dated on-and-off from 2011 to 2014. In March, Selena attended a Bieber concert and Justin posted a throwback photo of the two kissing -- which became the most liked photo on the social media site. Selena even commented "perfect" on the pic, but then in early May she crumpled up a fan's "Marry Justin" sign.
Talk about mixed signals.
Since their split, Selena has been linked with One Direction's Niall Horan and Bieber with model Hailey Baldwin.
This also comes on the wake of the devastating break ups between (Selena's squad members) Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris and Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama.
But Bieber summed up his relationship with Gomez well in an interview with Billboard in 2015: "I'm proud of the woman she is today. When you love someone that much, even if something comes between you, it's a love that never really dies."
Especially on Instagram.
