Justin Bieber wore a Smiths tee because he is human and he needs to be loved

I would go out tonight, but I haven't got a Smiths shirt to wear

The famous boy with the thorn in his side Justin Bieber wore a Smiths tee while traveling in Israel this week. Because while some may accuse the pop star of having an attitude problem, behind the hatred there lies a murderous desire for love.

This is something of a trend. Bieber has been wearing a lot of old band tees since he teamed up with Fear of God designer Jerry Lorenzo. He's repped Pink Floyd, Marilyn Manson, and Metallica, among others.

But Bieber aligning himself with Morrissey, the Pope of Mope, the king of cancelling shows, the beloved but deeply flawed icon, seems especially fitting. Moz is also known for his great love of pop iconography and taking off his shirt.

Please spare a moment to consider Bieber wandering barefoot though a park trying his best to go unnoticed in a crowd as he considers his own prickly relationship with fame. His hood is up, his headphones are in his ears cancelling out the sounds of strangers screaming his name. He's listening to these lyrics and thinking to himself, "Yeah, man."

And after all this time They don't want to believe us And if they don't believe us now Will they ever believe us? And when you want to live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know?

Feel your feelings, Bieber.
