For most of us, getting banned from Uber can make life tough, but if you're model and reality star Kendall Jenner, life is a little sweeter, thanks to Lyft.

The Uber ride sharing competitor got a big shoutout on Jenner's Snapchat account this weekend, effectively losing Uber a high-profile customer, and possibly her fans, before the Uber issue could be resolved.

"Hi guys, I just got in my Lyft," said Jenner, from the back seat of a car in a video on Snapchat. "I'm so excited, thank you Lyft for the free rides and for taking care of me."

It's unclear whether or not the free rides from Lyft were promotional gifts to stick it to Uber, or if this represents a paid promotional deal with the Jenner.

Lyft did not immediate respond to a request for comment from Mashable.

According to TMZ, the free rides will last for an entire year. While expensive, it's probably worth it for the celebrity clientele Jenner will expose Lyft to during her free ride status.

Last month, Jenner's older sister, Kim Kardashian, revealed that Jenner had been banned from Uber, forcing her to drive her sibling around town.

Although no details have been revealed regarding how the Lyft free ride deal came to be, it appears to be recent because just last week Jenner posted a photo on Instagram showing her hailing a cab -- and she didn't look pleased.

Now she literally "rides for Lyft," and Uber may have just learned a valuable lesson: banning celebrity customers can be costly.
