Warning: This post contains spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 6, Episode 2.

You better say you're sorry, Kit.

Game of Thrones actor/compulsive liar Kit Harington spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the best, worst kept secret in the show's history: the fate of Jon Snow.

Harington apologized for 10 months of hiding the truth from fans, and in turn subjecting the Internet to grueling and painstaking theorizing (remember hairgate?!) to find out if the bastard was gone for good.

Since Sunday's episode, "Home," revealed Jon was alive, Harington could finally come clean.

His first words? "Sorry."

"I’m glad that people were upset that he died," he says. "I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it."

"Kind of grief" is putting it a bit lightly, Kit. But we accept your apology.

Never try this again, though -- because the North Remembers.
