Kit Harington to host 'SNL' just in time for new 'Game of Thrones' season
Jon Snow is heading to studio 8H to host Saturday Night Live. Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will host SNL on April 6 with musical guest Sara Bareilles, just over a week before Thrones' final season begins on HBO.

This is Harington's first time hosting the show, which has happily spoofed Thrones in the past (Jon Snow in particular). Harington has also happily spoofed his surly character in the past, as he did on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
Thrones actors are a rare commodity on SNL, since most of them live abroad and have usually been busy, you know, filming Game of Thrones. Peter Dinklage is the only other to have hosted, back in 2016 (unless you count Ed Sheeran's performances). Harington will be followed the week after by hosting vet Emma Stone and Korean pop sensation BTS.
Harington hosts SNL April 6 and Game of Thrones returns April 14.
