Ed Sheeran is pretty much done with Twitter because of the meanness, he revealed in an interview with The Sun.

But Lady Gaga, whose fans reportedly contributed to the meanness, doesn't want to focus on the hate. She posted a photo of herself and Sheeran on Instagram Tuesday and shared some kind words to her community.

“Lady Gaga’s fanbase read an interview in which they assumed I was talking about her and they all fucking hate," Sheeran told The Sun.

Gaga responded, "No reason to tear down an artist simply because they are on top. Work harder to be kinder everybody."

Gaga has been an advocate against online bullying. She launched the Born This Way Foundation in 2012, which has the slogan, "We’re committed to supporting young people and empowering them to create a kinder, braver world."

So it's no surprise she's telling her Little Monsters to cool down on the hate and spread the love. Whether he'll come back to Twitter remains to be seen. Sheeran was never a big fan of social media, anyway, he claimed.
