No small, pink teddy bear should have to struggle through this cruel world alone.

On Sunday, Ireland's Cork Airport shared a poignant post about the following, mislaid travel companion.

"This pink Teddy should have been heading off on a flight earlier today but got separated from his travelling companions," they wrote. "If you are missing Teddy please contact us. Teddy has had his dinner and tea and is relaxing in our lounge at present."

Despite racking up a solid 850+ shares, though, the owner wasn't located.

Cork Airport, however, were undeterred. The next day, they shared an update on the pink teddy's condition.

People were tagging their friends in the comments, and once again the post was widely shared -- but to no avail.

Despite the internet's best efforts, the bear remained unclaimed.

At the time of writing, there's been one more update.

Judging by the Facebook comments the bear has yet to be reunited with his owner, but -- as someone pointed out -- they may be abroad for a week or more.

That last post has had over 1,000 shares, though, and the pink teddy is quickly on his way to sweet, viral fame.

By the time his owner does return to claim him, he may be a full-fledged social media star.
