LONDON -- Louis Tomlinson has a new string to add to his bow.

The actor,  singer, and member of one of the world's most popular boy bands is now a football shirt designer as well.

Yep. After Doncaster Rovers FC -- the club Tomlinson played for in a reserve team match in 2014 -- held a competition for fans to design their new kit, Tomlinson and his Granddad decided to give it a go.

And on Monday, it was announced that they'd won.

Not everyone was pleased, though.

The administrator for a Doncaster Rovers Facebook fan group, Neil Taylor, told ITV he was "absolutely livid" with the decision.

"I have nothing against Louis Tomlinson, I'm sure he's a nice lad," said Taylor. "My issue is with the club, it's them who fixed it.

"They shortlisted his shirt along with the four worse designs -- one of which looked like a green table cloth -- so that his was the only acceptable one for people to vote for."

Doncaster Rovers, meanwhile, issued a statement on their website insisting that the competition was fair.

"The process for receiving kit designs, shortlisting and the public voting for our kit design competition followed strict legal guidance to ensure that the club adhered to competition law and that all processes were fair," said a spokesperson.

"We are aware that the result of the competition has attracted some mixed feedback, but we can assure our fans that the voting process for the 2016/17 shirt designs was all was fair and above board."
