Ludacris is going to Guantanamo Bay.

The Grammy-winning rapper is set to perform at the U.S. Navy base in Cuba on the Fourth of July for the annual Freedom Festival, according to The Miami Herald

According to The Herald, the festival takes place miles away from the prison where 89 detainees are still being held, at the Windward Ferry Landing.

This is not the first time a musician has performed at Guantanamo Bay, but Navy Chief Monique Hilley told The Herald "Gitmo hasn’t seen a star with as big a name as Ludacris in several years."

Past performers at Freedom Festival include Jimmy Buffett, Jimmy Eat World and the Plain White T's. 

A representative for Ludacris confirmed the performance to Mashable.
