Hundreds of new emoji are finally starting to make their way into the world.

Apple dropped the latest public beta of macOS High Sierra and the update comes with hundreds of new emoji, including animals, dinosaurs, and a bunch of smileys.

The update, which is officially called macOS High Sierra 10.13.1, is available now to those who are part of Apple's public or developer beta program.

As we've previously detailed, the emoji update is extensive. It includes six new "face" emoji, a ton of fantasy characters (vampires, and fairies, and mermaids, and the like), new foods (sandwiches and coconuts!), and dinosaurs. It also includes the breastfeeding mother character and woman with headscarf emoji that was first proposed by a 15-year-old girl from Saudi Arabia.

You can see a full list of all the new emoji over at Emojipedia.

All of the 56 new characters (183 when you account for gender variations) are live on Mac with the latest macOS beta. (They're also available on iPhone if you have the iOS 11 beta installed.)

Unfortunately, if you're not a beta tester, you'll still have to wait a bit longer to take the new emoji for a spin. For iOS, they're expected as part of the public iOS 11.1 release, which will likely roll out after the iPhone X launches next week. For Mac, the update will also very likely launch in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, you can also check out the new emoji on Twitter or on Android (if you have Oreo installed).
