Also, apparently at the "Southern White House," raw meats are kept at up to 16 degrees above the minimum temperature, fish designed to be served raw was not properly rid of parasites, the coolers are filled with rusty shelves, and the kitchen sink water is too cold to properly sanitize chef's hands.

That was the state of affairs that health inspectors stumbled upon last week, according to the Miami Herald, just two days before Chinese leader Xi Jinping visited the club on a diplomatic trip. Three of the violations were flagged as "high priority," meaning "they could allow the presence of illness-causing bacteria on plates served in the dining room."

Kitchen staff was ordered to either immediately cook the compromised fish or dispose of it, and to empty and repair the unmaintained coolers.

Previous to his political life, Trump was known for being hands on in the day-to-day operations at Mar-A-Lago, even visiting the kitchen floor and giving orders to the employees there. The kitchen had only two health violations in 2015. That jumped to 11 last year, and 13 on this most recent inspection.

Mar-A-Lago charges upwards of $200,000 in membership fees-- a price that has doubled since Trump was elected.
