'Matilda' star Mara Wilson comes out on Twitter as queer
There is no right time or wrong place to come out -- and on Monday, former child star Mara Wilson chose Twitter to tell her story.
Wilson, an author and storyteller best-known for her role in the movie Matlida, has become something of a Twitter celebrity in recent years. On Monday, the actress decided to come out to her 277,000 followers, explaining that she's "embraced the Bi/Queer label lately.”
After Sunday's massacre at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Wilson posted a picture of herself at a gay nightclub.

Though she came out on Twitter, Wilson plans to keep most of her private life actually private.
While Wilson is best known for her work as a child actress, she recently made a cameo on the notoriously queer-friendly Broad City, and is a well-known writer and storyteller in New York City.
