'Bad and Boujee' Youtube views have jumped since Donald Glover's Golden Globes shoutout

Raindrop, drop top....

UPDATE: Jan. 9, 2017, 4:45 p.m. EST They did it! According to Billboard, Migos and Lil Uzi Vert have finally secured their first number one hit with "Bad and Boujee."

Raindrop. Drop top. "Bad and Boujee" is the greatest song—full stop.

Well, at least according to Donald Glover. The actor and creator behind the now Golden Globe-winning television show Atlanta took a moment during his acceptance speech on Sunday night to shoutout rap trio Migos and their hit, "Bad and Boujee."

There's high likelihood that many in the audience had no idea what Glover was talking about when he called it the greatest song of all time, despite its persistence online.

Since Glover's (already) infamous speech, hundreds of thousands of people have been curious enough to look up the song—or revisit it—because, why the hell not?

According to statistics from YouTube, the video has seen an incredible increase of views since Sunday's Golden Globes. The video has gotten 1.2 million views Monday alone, and Sunday it saw 2.4 million visits.

"I think [Migos are] the Beatles of this generation and they don't get a lot of respect outside of Atlanta," Glover said backstage at the Golden Globes. "There's a generation—sort of like that YouTube generation that I kinda came up with—of kids that are growing up on something that is completely separate from a whole group of people."

The song "Bad and Boujee" has yet to reach the number one spot, but as The FADER reported, perhaps this particular shoutout might be the final push in it's meme-driven climb up the Billboard charts.

Similar to how online attention re-launched Rae Sremmurds "Black Beatles," fans have propelled "Bad and Boujee" with their own rendition of rapper Offset's opening lines "raindrop, drop top..." and it's created hilarious tweets and video dubs, making it one of the last memes of 2016 that has drifted into the new year.

If you want to help Migos climb to the top, you can watch (or rewatch) "Bad and Boojee" here:
