As predicted, Donald Trump wakes up and rants about Meryl Streep on Twitter

He called Meryl Streep "overrated" but Twitter is not having it.

It's so predictable that it kind of already falls into a routine.

Someone criticises Donald Trump overnight, Donald Trump wakes up -- at around 5 a.m. EDT -- gets angry and launches a 140-character Twitter tirade against that someone.

This time it was the turn of Meryl Streep, who masterfully called out the president-elect at the Golden Globes without even mentioning his name.

Trump had already called Streep "a Hillary lover" in a short but revealing interview with the New York Times. But naturally he couldn't resist a Twitter storm:

Calling Meryl Streep -- arguably the best actress of her generation with three Oscars, eight Golden Globes, three BAFTAs and 19 Oscar nominations -- overrated didn't really play well with Twitter:

So predictable was Trump's tweet, that people anticipated it last night:
