Melania Trump is all about supporting childhood individuality, and she'd kindly like you to let her 11-year-old son live his life.

Hours after former first daughter Chelsea Clinton came to the defense of President Trump's youngest son Barron on Tuesday — who was criticized by a Daily Caller article for wearing casual clothing — the first lady thanked her for speaking out against childhood bullying.

Clinton had originally tweeted a link to the article, asking the media and all those criticizing Barron Trump to let him have the "private childhood he deserves." But later on the former first daughter tweeted directly at a user by the name of @MattyRenn, condemning his comments about Barron.

"Barron is A KID. No child should be talked about in the below manner-in real life or online. And for an adult to do so? For shame," Clinton wrote to the Twitter user.

@MattyRenn has since made his account private, so it's unclear what words initially sparked the reaction from Clinton, but the first lady still felt compelled to share the tweet and thank her for the support.

Though her own husband has spread his fair share of hateful words online, Melania has spoken out against social media bullying before, even pledging to lead an anti-cyberbullying initiative once she entered the White House.

(That said, it doesn't seem that Melania has made any significant advances in that anti-bullying campaign, which the internet reminds her whenever Donald Trump insults someone.)

Perhaps this latest incident will inspire the first lady to get things moving with that initiative.
