John Boyega, Mark Hamill design adorable mini BB-8 droids

They're being auctioned for charity.

LONDON -- With so much success surrounding the latest Star Wars movie, a new BB-8 exhibition and charity auction, featuring 35 reimagined versions of everyone's favourite new droid, has opened in London. 

Designed by stars of the film and a number British celebrities to coincide with the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on DVD, the congregation of models are dressed up in football kits, the crown jewels and the Union Jack.

The exhibition, at White Rainbow Gallery, features designs by Star Wars actors John Boyega, Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) and Mark Hamill as well as others from Jonathan Ross and Simon Pegg.

Joining together with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, the model droids will be auctioned to raise money.

"My BB-8 is based on my Stormtrooper, FN2187, merging the light and dark side, much like Finn's own journey in The Force Awakens," John Boyega says in a statement. 

"It is unmistakably based on FN2187 because of the three red blood marks, which represent the point in the film Finn first shows his human side."
