Mississippi mayor says he is man seen in sext sent to city leaders
This is not an April Fools' Day joke.
A Mississippi mayor confirmed on Friday that he is the man seen in a sexting photo that was sent to a number of Hernando, Mississippi city leaders.

Mayor Chip Johnson, 49, said, "I had a private indiscretion with an adult woman who decided to make it public. I hope it doesn't reflect on the city," city newspaper The Commercial Appeal reported.

The mayor, who is married but "in the process of a divorce," had sent the email to the woman with the subject line, "your mayor."
It somehow made its way to the inboxes of at least seven other politicians from there.
In the photo, the mayor is naked from forehead to feet and making an expression.
"It's a very personal and private matter that was a mistake on the part of me personally," Johnson told a second paper, the DeSoto Times-Tribune.
"I think I have learned a valuable lesson from it but I certainly don't want it to reflect negatively on the town of Hernando," he added.
The mayor has been in office for ten years and has not said if he plans to step down over the photo.
