The new Mr. World and his hip haircut just made history
Rohit Khandelwal made pageant history when he won the title of Mr. World 2016 on July 19. He now is the first winner of global competition from Asia.
The 26-year-old model and television personality, who hails from India, called it the "most memorable moment of life" in a post on Instagram.
"Being the first Indian ever to win this title makes me immensely proud and ecstatic," he told India Times.

Khandelwal took the title after two to three weeks facing off with 46 other contestants in Southport, UK. Men from around the world participated in the biennial pageant and competed in a variety of events, including fitness challenges and a style segment of the show. Winners were selected by a combined reaction from a judging panel and votes from the public.
"I feel so privileged and humbled to be Mr World 2016," he told Mr. World TV. "I would like to thank all my fans and all the people who have been giving me all their blessings. It is only your love and support that has been my inspiration to win Mr World 2016. It has been an amazing journey to this point, and I cannot wait to see what happens next.”
Second and third place went to men from Puerto Rico and Mexico, respectively.
