Neil Patrick Harris just got his first tattoo and it's so Count Olaf of him

Hint: "The world is quiet here"

If you're going to get your first tattoo as an actor, it might as well be something your character has too.

Neil Patrick Harris showed off his fresh ink on Instagram Monday to celebrate the announcement that Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events will be returning for a second season. Harris plays the menacing Count Olaf, and got the Baudelaire guardian's own tattoo for himself.

"We got picked up for Season 2 of A Series of Unfortunate Events," Harris matter-of-factly wrote. "I got it to celebrate."

The tattoo is an eye with the hidden symbol for the mysterious Volunteer Fire Department (VFD), a symbol that is scattered throughout the series—and fans of both NPH and Lemony Snicket's story are really excited it's being memorialized on Harris' ankle.

Way to dedicate yourself to the job, Harris.
