Netflix lights up special weed strains inspired by your favorite shows

Netflix took its promotional might to the next level this weekend by offering a special set of cannabis strains with names inspired by some of its most popular shows.

And yes, the strains are actually available (if you're in California, where the special strains are being offered at a local marijuana dispensary).

Among the special Netflix-branded strains are Poussey Riot (inspired by Orange is the New Black), Prickly Muffin (inspired by Bojack Horseman), Banana Stand Kush (inspired by Arrested Development), Camp Firewood (inspired by Wet Hot American Summer), Baka Bike (inspired by Santa Clarita Diet), and Moon 13 (inspired by Mystery Science Theater 3000).

The promotional strains were made available at the Alternative Herbal Health Services cannabis dispensary in West Hollywood this weekend, and Netflix even tweeted out the address of the place, for those interested in some "Netflix and buzz."

These unusual (for Netflix) products were rolled out as part of a promotion for Netflix's new series Disjointed, which stars Kathy Bates as the owner of a marijuana dispensary in Southern California, according to Variety.

Alas, unless you have perfect timing and are in exactly the right part of the country, don't expect to get your hands on these rare weed curios, the strains are only available this weekend at the one location.

But who knows, with weed legalization reaching more states in recent years, maybe Netflix will stumble onto its next big business that, for some, would be the perfect embodiment of Netflix and chill.
