'Stranger Things' and 'KPop Demon Hunters' get Netflix yule logs
For those of us without a fancy fireplace, nothing sets the festive mood quicker than a yule log streaming from your TV. This year, Netflix has three themed virtual fireplaces for you inspired by three major 2025 releases.
Announced on Monday, Netflix's new yule logs are based on Stranger Things, KPop Demon Hunters, and Wednesday, with Easter eggs hidden in the hour-long streams. They're no Fast and Furious yule BBQ, but they're neat.
Stranger Things
For Stranger Things, back with its fifth and final season, there's a throwback to the original Byers' living room from Season 1 and the coded string of lights that helped get poor ol' Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) out of the Upside Down. This one has a neat Easter egg in it, as the Upside Down threatens to overtake your own living room.

KPop Demon Hunters
For KPop Demon Hunters, it's a glowing purple fireplace based on the underworld residence of the demon king Gwi-Ma (Lee Byung-hun). This one is quite foreboding and more fireplace-adjacent than the others but it features instrumental versions of the songs we literally couldn't quit this year.

Wednesday
Finally, for Wednesday, it's the formidable and shadowy open-mouthed fireplace in Principal Weems' (Gwendoline Christie) office at Nevermore Academy, which changed hands to Principal Dort (Steve Buscemi) in Season 2. This one feels more like a Halloween yule log, but the fire has a strong crackle to it.

It's not the first year Netflix has launched yule logs, with fireplaces available to stream themed around the Regency riches of Bridgerton, the Continental stone of The Witcher, an adventure campfire à la Spellbound, and even the particularly non-cosy Squid Game, if you want to feel like The Front Man over the holidays.
