Nicki Minaj makes history on the Billboard Hot 100 chart

"To God be the glory."

It's not every day you can say you've trounced a record set by the legendary Aretha Franklin, but yesterday, Nicki Minaj was able to do just that.

The New York rapper, whose debut album was released in 2010, now officially holds the title of the most Hot 100 hits by a female artist.

Minaj's three new songs, two of which feature Drake and Lil Wayne, have all made there way on the Hot 100 chart–bumping up her total appearances there from 73 to 76.

Hot 100 entries include guest appearances on songs, and Minaj's first appearance on the chart came seven years ago with a verse on Lil Wayne's "Knockout," according to Billboard.

Taylor Swift is just six songs away from snatching this title from Minaj, and Rihanna, Madonna, Dionne Warwick and Beyonce are not too far behind her.

As a response to the news, Minaj twerked on Instagram and also wrote a touching note to her supporters.

"To my fans: I fkn love u guys more than I'll ever be able to put in words," she wrote on Instagram. "Thank u so much for your unwavering love & support. God bless each & every one of you. To God be the glory."
