Nicki Minaj just added professional model to her already long résumé
Nicki Minaj is adding one more title to her expansive résumé: model.
The Grammy nominated rapper—who made Billboard chart history this year—isn't new to posing in front of a camera, but now will professionally do so thanks to a new contract with Wilhelmina modeling agency.
“I love the synergy between my music and how it inspires my fashion. My message is always celebrating your own style,” Minaj told Vogue on Wednesday. "I’m thrilled and honored to have signed with Wilhelmina. They get me.”
"We're thrilled to work alongside Nicki Minaj and her team. She is a style pioneer and an icon," Bill Wackermann, Wilhelmina's CEO, said in a press release.
With Minaj joining the celebrity division of Wilhelmina, we're probably going to be seeing a lot more photoshoots with legendary photographers (many of whom she's already worked with) and brands, similar to her work with MAC’s Viva Glam campaign—and maybe even a strut or two down a runway.
