'Bowser's Inside Story' has a whole new meaning.

Justin Roiland, the brain behind Rick and Morty and the recently announced Trover Saves the Universe, is glad that we know how big Luigi's penis is.

During a discussion with Roiland about Trover Saves the Universe during E3, the conversation changed topics to the recent influx of information about Nintendo characters' anatomy – namely the reveal of Mario's nipples, a look into Luigi's bulge, and a recent reminder that Mario's penis was revealed decades ago.

Roiland, who was surprised to hear all of this despite being a well-known Nintendo fan, is here for all of it.

"I think it's hilarious," he said.

But not just hilarious. Roiland thinks this kind of... exposure... is good for society as a whole. He said that we shouldn't hide from nudity.

"It stems from a very puritanical history we have, I feel like we haven't really outgrown it," Roiland said. "If you walk out in public in your own skin that you came into this world in, you'll get arrested for that."

And yet violence gets a pass.

"Even just the slightest sexual innuendo or reference, it's like oh no no, not OK, but you can pop people's heads with shotguns all day long and that's OK," he said. "I think we should be a more accepting cultural society of sex and love and all that stuff."

All these Nintendo characters, despite being animated, have all of these parts. That can't just be ignored.

"Of course Mario's got a huge schlong, and of course Luigi does too, and they have nipples and an asshole, and they shit," Roiland said. "They're fucking animals, like all human beings."

Roiland then went on to riff that Bowser has an issue with his bowels.

"Bowser has a prolapsed anus," he said, joking that this is revealed in a secret level in 1990's Super Mario World's Star Road, referring to Bowser's problem as "Bowser's Inside Story," the name of a 2009 Mario and Luigi game.

"When you get closer to his bowels, Mario and Luigi are like: 'Somethings not-a right,'" Roiland said, slipping into a voice that sounded like a vaguely Italian version of Morty Smith from Rick and Morty. "'This looks-a-like-a he's a prolapsed a-anus. His-a big-a intestine looks-a very unhealthy,'"

And if you're reading this, Nintendo, Roiland wants you to know that he loves you and doesn't want to piss you off.

In terms of nudity in his own upcoming game, Roiland pointed out that Trover doesn't have genitals.

"Trover is a parasitic hole-based monster," he said. "They reproduce in different ways than humans; they don't have penises."

That's a bit of a shame, considering how pro-nudity Roiland is, but that might give Trover Saves the Universe and Adults Only rating which would effectively kill sales. And nobody wants that.

Of course, the game is still in development and the door is open for nudity. We'll see what happens when Trover Saves the Universe releases on PlayStation 4 at some unspecified time in the future.
