I wrote Obama's farewell address for him and here is the text
WASHINGTON, DC - JANUARY 12: President Barack Obama delivers his State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress on Capitol Hill January 12, 2016 in Washington, D.C. In his final State of the Union, President Obama reflected on the past seven years in office and spoke on topics including climate change, gun control, immigration and income inequality. President Obama will make a farewell address from his hometown of Chicago on Jan. 10.

With Obama's final day in office just 10 days away, many expect his goodbye speech to forgo mentions of past victories and instead focus on the future -- life under a President Trump.

I'm honored and excited to say that I actually wrote President Obama's farewell address and was given permission to publish the five pages of text a few hours early.

You can read the remarks below, and tune into President Obama's speech at 9 p.m. EST.

Another classic Obama speech, saying exactly what everyone's thinking in a succinct and thoughtful manner.
