While Prime Big Deal Days doesn't officially kick off until tomorrow, Oct. 8, unlocked phone deals started appearing weeks ago at Amazon, particularly on Samsung Galaxy and Motorola phones. Google Pixel deals have been scarce, but we'll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for more once the shopping event actually begins. We'll be shocked if any unlocked iPhone deals pop up, but there's always a small glimmer of hope.

A new budget-friendly, mid-range phone, the Galaxy S24 FE allows Samsung fans to experience bits of the S24 series' perks without spending an arm and a leg. Just unveiled at the end of Sept., Mashable's Kim Gedeon was able to play with one for a couple hours and found that it's a "solid sub-$700 phone with a 50MP wide camera that matches the Galaxy S24 (though not as good as the 200MP lens on my Galaxy S24 Ultra), Galaxy AI support, and a slightly bigger battery." Why we like it
Motorola's first foldable razr phone was a major disappointment, as Mashable's reviewer Brenda Stolyar pointed out. Fortunately, the 2023 model made some big improvements, including the annoying hinge, the display, the battery life, and the price. The external display is not very useful (you'll have to upgrade to the razr+ for a larger one), but as our friends at PCMag (also owned by Ziff Davis) noted, "If you’re looking to dip your toes into the swelling pool of foldables, the 2023 Razr is a good place to start." Regularly $699.99, it's on sale ahead of Prime Big Deal Days for just $398.62. That's a savings of 43% and its lowest price to date.
