Uniformed officer arrested after he solicited an undercover cop

The Melbourne police department was already looking into the officer, Shawn Archbold, after hearing of his solicitation around four months ago.

The officer was called back to the department as he was withdrawing money to give to the undercover agent. He was arrested when he got to the station.
"This is something I take very seriously," Police Chief Steve Mimbs said at a press conference, according to Florida Today. "It violates public trust and will not be tolerated."
Archibold is charged with engaging or committing prostitution, and is out on $500 bail.
He's reportedly in the process of being fired, and no trial date has yet been set.
