LOS ANGELES -- Just seconds away from sure defeat, a frustrated Overwatch pro switched to the game's worst character and surprisingly -- no, hilariously -- won the match.

LW Blue had less than a minute to go in what looked like a losing effort against Team Kongdoo Panthera earlier this week at the OGN Overwatch APEX. Kongdoo Panthera had the capture point under control in overtime when LW Blue player "NoName" apparently said "screw it."

He jumped on Bastion and definitively turned the match around, winning and advancing LW Blue into the next round.

Bastion is a running joke at this point -- and is uniquely hated. Though it's hard to pinpoint the exactly reason why, Bastion always tops everyone's worst character list, and is the bottom tier in the player Meta.

Bastion is easily countered with Genji, Pharah, or Junkrat -- but if you don't act quickly, your team can be mowed down by his turret. This is not a problem for the pros who usually shut down Bastion nonsense swiftly.

LW Blue and Kongdoo Panthera are competing in the OGN Overwatch APEX in Korea for $200,000. The finals will be held December 3 on Twitch.
