Quick q: how the hell is this video happening?

Kevin Parry, a stop-motion animator who's worked on films like Kubo and The Boxtrolls, has confounded Instagrammers with his most recent optical illusion video, "Walk in the Woods."

In the clip, Parry approaches a mirror, then suddenly appears to ... walk through it? And to make matters more eerie, it's all filmed at Hoyt Arboretum in Portland, Oregon -- also known as a spooky forest.

Behold:

What is happening? Is this dude in the Upside Down?

On Instagram, a bunch of commenters are now calling for Parry to post his method. We know a magician's never supposed to reveal his secrets or whatever, but ... maybe just this once?
