Doomfist has arrived.

The 25th Overwatch hero Doomfist was revealed today: a super-strong, gauntlet-wielding offense character who uses his mechanical fist to devastating effect. He's available to play on the PC's public test region today, and will be coming out on all platforms in the coming weeks.

Here's a gallery of the gloriously villainous Doomfist (whose real name is Akande Ogundimu):

CARD ID: 233858

Although Doomfist's whole thing is his big metal fist, he isn't just a melee character. Doomfist can use his Hand Cannon to deal damage from a distance as well as slam down on enemies to knock them into the air.

Doomfist can also charge into the action with a Rocket Punch. When things get hairy, his ultimate, Meteor Strike, launches him into the air to crash back down and deal a ton of damage.

Despite his large size, Doomfist is a highly mobile offense character. You can take a longer look at his abilities on his hero page.

Doomfist has been referenced in the Overwatch universe since the game launched over a year ago. He was defeated by Winston before the events of Overwatch and was locked up in prison while his gauntlet was on display at the Overwatch museum in Numbani.

In February, he was broken out of jail by the villainous group Talon (which includes Reaper, Widowmaker, and Sombra), and he stole his gauntlet back from Numbani.

Ogundimu is actually the third Doomfist. The first Doomfist is referred to as The Savior, the second The Scourge, and Ogundimu is The Successor.
