Also, apparently, poop.

Some Oreo fans are learning that there can, for sure, be too much of a good thing.

According to a few frantic tweets, new Peep-flavored Oreos are turning tongues (among other things) pink.

The cookies, inspired by the marshmallow treat, features a hot pink creme filling with potential to temporarily render mouths totally neon. You know, like the lollipops of your youth.

As Grub Street noted, even the Junk Food Guy -- known for eating all kinds of processed food -- reported pink saliva after snacking.

As he put it: "This is sort of horrifying – this is the type of food dye where an hour later, when I went to brush my teeth, IT TURNED MY TOOTHBRUSH PINK."

And according to just a few folks on Twitter, tongues aren't the only victim of the cookie's hot pink dye.

But those experiencing a shocking pink bowel movement probably shouldn't panic. According to Mayo Clinic, an excess of food dye can account for unusual changes in the color of poop.

Mashable has reached out to Mondelēz International, Oreo's parent company, for comment.
