Pelicans may look friendly from the outside, but be forewarned: they have been known to chase strangers around an empty parking lot.

Well, at least one pelican has. In this video, a pelican chases a man around an empty parking lot in Turkey. The bird appears to have a strong interest in the contents of the man's plastic bag, whatever that is.

The man appears to enter a nearby store, while the pelican is left to linger outside. Sadly, most stores in Turkey are not built to accommodate large birds.

Maybe this video will spark a needed social change and end anti-pelican prejudice.
