An Iowa server was stiffed on a tip because of her pink hair -- but she's not letting bullies impact her personal style.

Taelor Beeck works at Zombie Burger in Des Moines, Iowa, where she's beloved by many of the restaurant's customers. But when Beeck closed out one of her tables last Tuesday night, she discovered she hadn't been left a tip. Instead, the table wrote a note: "Tips are only for normal-looking people."

"At first I felt really upset," Beeck told WHO TV. "I felt attacked. I felt like I was in middle school all over again, like being bullied.

But Beeck chose to take the high road, electing not to release the names of the people who stiffed her. In fact, she doesn't even want to speak with them.

"I didn't act on it because it's not worth it when someone puts hate out there, you know to respond in a hateful way will do no good," she said.

Orchestrate Hospitality, the parent company of Zombie Burger, has since released a statement in support of Beeck.

"We believe that Zombie Burger is a place that celebrate individuality," the statement reads in part. "We stand by our staff."

In the meantime, Beeck is putting the incident behind her. But although she doesn't want to confront the people who stiffed her, she does have one piece of parting advice for them.

"I would tell them to not judge someone based on what they look like," she said.
