Prime Day Kindle Paperwhite vs. Signature Edition deals: Which has the better discount?
If you've even taken a quick glance at the Amazon homepage over the last few days, you know that 1) it's Prime Day and 2) tons of Amazon devices are on sale. Lucky for you bookworms out there, that includes the retailer's popular Kindle e-readers. Pretty much all of them are heavily discounted, though, which presents a new problem: Which deal should you take up?
Now, we're not going to go over every single Kindle model in this article, but we will talk about two of the best-selling ones: The Kindle Paperwhite, and the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition. Two slightly different names with meaningful differences.
Both versions have had their prices slashed in honor of the Prime Day festivities, but which one should you choose? Well, we'll shoot straight with you. It's no secret that we think the Kindle Paperwhite is the better option of the two, but for Prime Day, the Signature Edition is not much more expensive than the base model. So, we say splurge a little bit more and get the Signature.
Why? Because the Signature Edition has everything that the regular Paperwhite has and more. A few of those key upgrades include double the storage at 32GB, wireless charging support, auto-adjusting screen brightness, and an ad-free experience on your lock screen. The Signature Edition even tosses in a nice metallic finish compared to the matte finish of the base model.
