Those weird 'Prongles' snacks are not all they seem

Everyone settle down about Prongles!

What fresh hell is this?

It all started when the internet noticed something a bit off about a strange, familiar-sounding new snack called Prongles.

But the fact that Prongles are so ridiculous may have a very logical explanation. Some are theorising that they are in fact a stunt orchestrated by Cards Against Humanity.

The argument seems pretty sound. While the official Prongles site just says "coming soon," its newly founded Twitter page is very obviously parodic.

As well as their amazing flavour ideas, they only follow Smash Mouth and Scottie Pippen.

And it's listed as being based in Chicago, same as Cards Against Humanity. Then again there's always the possibility this is a parody account set up by a third party, aiming to further ridicule the legitimate business venture that is Prongles. Perhaps even their biggest competitor, who shall remain unnamed. (It's Pringles.)

Mashable reached out to Cards Against Humanity for comment, but have not yet received a reply.

More on this as it develops.
