LONDON -- Queen Elizabeth turned 90 years old Thursday, and there were plenty of people ready to help her celebrate.

Despite her birthday officially being recognised in June, events were held across the country to mark her actual birthday. Crowds turned up at Windsor to see her as she walked through the town outside Windsor Castle.

As with most royal milestones, such as at the births of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the royal fandom were out in full force to celebrate. There were cheers and many, many renditions of "Happy Birthday" being sung as the Queen met with her adoring fans.
