Daniel Radcliffe would return to 'Harry Potter’... under certain conditions

But the script has to be magical.

Between the play, the prequel and Pottermore, there's little sign that the Hogwarts Express is slowing down. And even Daniel Radcliffe is open to reprising his role as Harry Potter, perhaps.

According to an interview with Radio Times, Radcliffe said that while he has no plans regarding wizardry or the acting out of it, he doesn't want to write off a return to Harry Potter completely.

“It would depend on the script,” Radcliffe said. “The circumstances would have to be pretty extraordinary. But then I am sure Harrison Ford said that with Han Solo and look what happened there! So I am saying, ‘No,’ for now but leaving room to backtrack in the future.”

In the meantime, Radcliffe is content letting Jamie Parker play an adult Harry (who may presumably go by "Harold Potter" now) in the Cursed Child play. And since this November's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them takes place in 1920s New York, it'd be cumbersome to fit in a Potter cameo.

And between the recent Now You See Me 2 and Swiss Army Man, he's a busy enough guy already. But if Fantastic Beasts and Cursed Child end up being successful (early reactions to the play have been very positive), it could be the start of a Potter Expanded Universe that'd certainly have a spot for its biggest player.
