Farmers in China create crop art of a massive detailed royal robe
In a rapeseed field in Nanjing, east China, there is a magnificent imperial robe made from precisely planned crop formations.
The green mural measuring 194m (636 feet) long and 152m (499 feet) wide was constructed to look like the ancient royal robes, or longpao, that were worn by emperors.

The farmers who made this were hoping to boost tourism to the suburban area.
One of them, Yang Kun, told Beijing News that most tourism to Nanjing is driven by food downtown like its famous crab soup dish, and farmers are hoping the large scale crop art will draw some tourism over to rural areas.
Not content with the robe, farmers have also constructed a complex maze design with two dragons in a field nearby.
That design covers about 140 acres of wheat.
