This failure of a Red Sox ceremonial first pitch may be the only thing that can pull together a fractured nation

This is nuts.

Sometimes the universe gives you what you need right when you need it.

In this case, it's a video of a dude getting hit in the beans by a very badly thrown baseball. And it is just as glorious as it sounds. (Though, um, maybe not for him.)

At Fenway Park on Wednesday night, Jordan Leandre threw out the ceremonial first pitch. Perfectly.

Note: The photographer was okay and making light of his situation on Twitter, so it is okay for you to enjoy this video at maximum capacity.

Adding to the embarrassment, this event took place in front of an audience consisting of most of the 1967 Red Sox Dream Team. It's basically the worst case scenario for a first pitch. Or best, for everyone watching.

If the video isn't enough, the unfortunate photographer also got a really great photo right before impact.

I think I speak for us all when I say 😙👌
