Some genius used a piece of dried pasta to improve his joint

Thanks to legal weed in multiple areas across the United States, there are now seemingly endless ways to light up. But even with all that weed tech out there, sometimes the most impressive stoner innovations still come from the kitchen.

While some prefer edibles and vaping, nothing can beat the old-fashioned joint. Thankfully, the classic setup can be upgraded using this little trick.

Rolling up a joint can have a few drawbacks. For one, excess herb can leak out from the mouthpiece of the joint. Some people roll a little piece of cardboard or paper (called a crutch) on one end of their joint, but that can get gross and soggy. Instead, try using a piece of rotini.

Twitter user @dazedinheaven shared a photo of a joint his younger brother rolled, complete with a rotini for a crutch. The shape of the pasta allows smoke and air to flow from the joint into your mouth, while stopping any weed or ash.

People were pretty impressed with the technique.

Dazedinheaven later tweeted it was "a great joint."
