A fugitive pig is headed back home to his rightful owners this week after a standoff with two Ohio police officers.

A 911 dispatcher received a call Tuesday morning alerting the police to a pot-belly pig running loose through a Columbus neighborhood.

Two officers managed to leash the pig before snapping a few mugshots for Facebook. Unlike its fellow fugitive animal brethren, however, it refused to wait for its owners in the back of a squad car. Instead, the local humane society came to the rescue with a crate, and soon returned the runaway to his owners.

"'It went wee, wee, wee all the way home,' said dispatcher Crooks who tipped us off to this light-hearted call," Columbus Division of Police wrote in a Facebook post.

Still waiting for someone to greenlight a season of Cops: Animal Edition.
